About Me

I won't say this is a brief bio, but a bio nonetheless.

My name is LOIS, named after Lois from the Bible who is known as a "prayer woman", another meaning for my name would be a female warrior which describes me 100%. I am a warrior at heart and very independent.

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA with my younger brother Tim who is just a year younger. I was raised by my grandmother (may she RIP) and my aunt. I have 3 older cousins who are like brothers to me and 3 younger cousins who I babysat and cared for like my own siblings.

At the age of 14, I moved to Schaumburg, IL and started my first year of high school in a completely new environment.

After high school, I went to Northern Illinois University where I partied too hard, had way too much fun, and lived my life the way it should be lived. I probably should have worried a little bit more about school and not having fun, but I wouldn't take it back for the world. I went to school for a pretty long time (cough 6 years cough) and graduated with a B.S. (sure is b.s.) in Elementary Education and a minor in Mathematics, with endorsements in math, social science, general science, and english. I didn't really search too hard for a full time teaching position but instead became a full time nanny for an amazing family with 4 kids. I absolutely love my job and wouldn't trade it in for the world.

In September 2009, my boyfriend at the time turned into my fiance with a perfect proposal at twin lakes, palatine, IL. On August 1, 2010 I became a wife to my best friend and started my life with a new family.

On October 25, 2010, I found out that I was pregnant with our first child and ecstatic that I would be expanding our family, and living my dream life of being a mother.

This blog was created for my child to read through in the future. To get a glimpse of the sacrifice, love, and struggle I went through -- through pregnancy and thereafter.

I hope you enjoy.
